Farida will face off against house rival Kerry in the first eviction of this year's Big Brother.

House rivals Farida and Kerry will go up against each other in the first Big Brother eviction of the series.

The 16 housemates spent much of Thursday visiting the Diary Room and afterwards, BB gathered the group on the sofa to reveal the result.

"I knew it," Farida remarked, while Kerry nodded and grinned.

Meanwhile, Paul grabbed his bedmate Tom and exclaimed excitedly: "We're in bed for another week lad!"

Voting has now opened for the first eviction, which is a vote to evict rather than a vote to save, and will close during the live eviction show tomorrow night.

The first eviction airs Friday night on ITV2 from 9pm.
