Big Brother US 'planning All Stars format for new season'

The next season of the US Big Brother will reportedly be an All Stars edition.

The next season of Big Brother in the US will reportedly be a second edition of the All Stars format.

The long-running reality show had been due to return to CBS at the end of this month but has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to Us Weekly, the network is in discussions with former winners and fan favourites from the last 20 years about taking part in the next season and is still hopeful of getting the show on air this summer.

The magazine says that houseguests will quarantine for 14 days before entering the game in order to prove that they are coronavirus-free, while the wider production will have significant health and safety measures in place.

The first All Stars edition of the show aired in 2006, although former houseguests have been brought back to compete against newbies in the years since.

The new run will mark the 22nd season of the reality show, which has been hosted by Julie Chen from its first episode.
