Watch: Jon Courtenay's winning Britain's Got Talent performance

Watch the comedy music routine that saw Jon Courtenay win the 2020 edition of Britain's Got Talent.

Comedy musician Jon Courtenay won Britain's Got Talent tonight with a performance that served as an ode to 2020.

The four-minute routine referenced the coronavirus lockdown, separation from friends and family, as well as The Queen's poignant address to the nation, earning unanimous praise from the judges.

The viewers then voted for the winner and Courtenay, 46, beat out vocal group Sign Along With Us and comedian Steve Royle to win the 14th series.

The finale of the series had originally been due to air in June but was delayed by four months due to COVID-19, during which time head judge Simon Cowell suffered a back injury and was replaced by Ashley Banjo.

The show will return this Christmas for a first ever festive edition, while the next series will air in Spring 2021.
