FOX News 'will not refer to Joe Biden as President-elect'

FOX News will reportedly refuse to refer to Joe Biden as President-elect should he win the race to the White House.

Senior figures at the FOX News Channel have reportedly instructed all on-air talent not to refer to Joe Biden as the President-elect if, as expected, he passes the winning mark today.

The outcome of the US election has still not been decisively determined yet due to an overwhelming number of postal votes still being counted in several key states.

The postal votes massively favour Biden and as a result, as they have been counted, incumbent President Donald Trump's lead in key states such as Georgia and Pennsylvania has been wiped out, putting Biden in pole position for the presidency.

Trump is seemingly refusing to accept the incoming result, however, and has alleged mass voter fraud without providing significant material evidence - and has even threatened to take the matter to the Supreme Court.

According to CNN's senior media reporter Oliver Darcy, the right-leaning FOX - mindful of Trump's concerns - will not be referring to Biden as President-elect if the election result goes in his favour.

The journalist wrote on Twitter: "Fox News is instructing its talent not to call Joe Biden the 'President-elect' when the network calls the race, according to two memos obtained by @brianstelter and me. The memos say Fox should 'stay away' from using the description.

"The memos emphasized that Fox should report moves by Trump's legal teams to challenge the results. 'We will report both sides until there is further guidance,' one memo said."

Ironically FOX have Biden ahead of almost every other network in the race for the White House, having called Arizona for the Democrats on election night.
