Cassie secretly meets up with her dealer Dean, who's not best pleased as she owes him money. Seeing Cassie in pain, Michael insists on taking her to A&E but Dean follows them and ends up punching Michael after a row.

Paul's condition deteriorates
Billy gives Paul a walking aid but then suggests a wheelchair instead, leaving Paul horrified.

At his joint party with Gemma at the Bistro, Paul gets overwhelmed by the number of people there so she suggests that he take Bryn for a play at the park for a while. But when Bryn goes running off, Paul tries to chase after him but his legs give way and he falls over. Billy and Todd have to carry Paul back up the stairs into the flat, leaving a humiliated Paul to concede that it is probably time to get a stair lift.
