Stephen sends an abusive text to his own phone, telling Elaine that it came from Gabrielle. She suggests that Gabrielle is gaslighting him but he puts on an act, saying that the abuse is what he deserves.

Hope gets a Stape-shaped shock
Tyrone gets down on one knee and proposes to Fiz - but as they celebrate, they are interrupted by the journo who wrote the John Stape book. He apologises for what he did and gives Fiz a bag containing all of his research into Stape.

Hope decides to hold a seance with Joseph and Sam in an attempt to contact her dad, but when Joseph goes to get some biscuits out of the cupboard, a jiffy bag filled with photos of Stape falls out.
