Max learns a family secret
Lydia suggests to Daniel that he teach the boys at school about the history of feminism in his workshop, but Daisy's dismissive. At the workshop, Max shows up and tells Daniel that he came along because of encouragement from David. David soon realises he'll need to come clean to Max about what happened to him with Josh.

Having swiped Daniel's keys, Max lets himself into the flat and starts smashing the place up - in the process breaking a clay imprint of Sinead's, Daniel's and Bertie's hands. Daniel's shocked when he returns home and shoves Max out of the door - but Max trips and falls down the stairs.

Daniel calls an ambulance and David rushes over. When the police ask Daniel what happened, he makes out that Max fell.

With Daniel still claiming that Max's fall was an accident, David accosts him and accuses him of lying. Later, Daisy calls in to check on Daniel and suggests that he's hiding something. A row ensues but it turns into a kiss - and when Lydia enters, they jump apart.

David and Shona are outraged when Mrs Cranshaw tells Daniel that she believes him, before inviting him to apply for a permanent position at the school.
Craig quits the force
Faye's horrified when Craig reveals that another search of Ted's flat is planned.

After Beth overhears Faye asking about a job for Craig at the factory, she's stunned to learn that he's quitting the police force and demands answers from her son.

Nina's anxieties resurface
Nina spots the prospectus for Glasgow University in Asha's bag and puts on a brave face, telling her to enjoy the day out. Later, Nina tells Roy that she's found out that floods are expected in Glasgow and she's worried about Asha's train journey up.

When the time comes for Asha to head off to Scotland, Nina takes drastic action and locks Asha in the cafe to stop her from going...
Audrey on the defensive
As Audrey heads home, Shona remarks about the clanking of bottles from her shopping bag. Later, when Gail arrives home to find her mum with a glass of wine, a stray comment from Sarah leaves Audrey offended.

Rita persuades Audrey to give her a new hairdo and all seems well between the pair, and they decide to celebrate their reunion with some wine. But when Audrey realises Shona orchestrated everything, she's angry - prompting Rita to snap and make a comment about Audrey's daytime drinking.
