Fan-favourite Hollyoaks star Ryan Mulvey has joined the cast of Coronation Street, it has emerged.
The youngster spent a year on the soap in the role of JJ Osborne, who was involved in a heavy storyline that saw him sexually abuse his twin sister Frankie (Isabelle Smith).
JJ's exit came last month as he was finally imprisoned after admitting to his crime despite months of denial.
According to The Sun, Mulvey's short stint in Hollyoaks impressed Corrie bosses, who have now cast him for "a brand new plot" this spring.
The news comes amid a wave of exits at the soap, including Paddy Bever (Max), Sue Devaney (Debbie), Sue Cleaver (Eileen), Colson Smith (Craig), Charlotte Jordan (Daisy) and Shelley King (Yasmeen),
