Young Coronation Street actor Jude Riordan has revealed that his big brother Zach made a surprise cameo in last night's episode.
The 10-year-old has played the character of Sam Blakeman, the brainy son of Nick (Ben Price), for the last 18 months and has quickly become a fan favourite.
In a recent storyline, Sam has become obsessed with the game of chess as a coping mechanism for the death of his mother Natasha (Rachel Leskovac) last year and has now started entering junior competitions.
In last night's episode, Sam took on - and beat - an older boy called Oscar, and now in a post on Twitter Riordan has revealed that Oscar was played by his real-life brother Zach.

The character did not have any lines and is thought to have been drafted in for one episode only.
