James Newman's UK Eurovision entry to be revealed on Thursday
James Newman's Eurovision entry for the UK is to receive its first play on BBC Radio 2 on Thursday morning.

The BBC has confirmed that this year's UK Eurovision entry will be played for the first time on BBC Radio 2 on Thursday.

Last month it was announced that James Newman has been reselected to represent the UK after he was unable to compete last year as the contest was cancelled due to coronavirus.

The 35-year-old wrote the epic ballad 'My Last Breath' for 2020 but this year has hinted that his song is "something people can dance to, even if it's just in their kitchen".

With just over two months to go until the contest in Rotterdam, the mystery track will receive its first play during Ken Bruce's Radio 2 show on Thursday morning at 9.30am.

The BBC's official Eurovision Instagram account also offered up a teaser of the accompanying music video:
