Sweden's entry for Eurovision 2020, The Mamas, release new single 'Let It Be'.

Melodifestivalen winners The Mamas have released their new single 'Let It Be' on the day that the Eurovision Song Contest was due to take place.

The trio were selected to represent Sweden at this year's contest with their empowering anthem 'Move' but the event was called off due to the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

'Let It Be' - no relation to The Beatles' hit of the same name - was written by the same team that put together 'Move' and has lyrics that reflect how the world has changed due to COVID-19.

"We've known each other for a little over a year, during which we've had a roller coaster of emotions and experiences," the girls said in a statement. "If 'Move' describes life in general, 'Let It Be' reflects the time we live in now.

"We were living our dreams just a little while ago, and now we're in a reality where we're worried about the health of our families and friends and the state of the world.

"'Let It Be' encourages us and reminds us that you can only change what's possible to change, and that you have to keep believing that everything else will be resolved."
