Tickets for next year's Glastonbury Festival are to go on sale two weeks later than first planned, it has announced.

Tickets for next year's Glastonbury Festival are to go on sale two weeks later than first planned due to a revised registration system.

The annual scramble for access to the world-renowned event had been due to start on Thursday evening for coach-and-ticket packages, with the ticket-only sale starting on Sunday morning.

However, at the eleventh hour, organisers announced revised sale dates of Thursday, November 16 at 6pm and Sunday, November 19 at 9am respectively.

The reason for the delay has been put down to a change to the registration system, which required people with a registration dated before 2020 to re-register by October 30.

Organisers said that many people had been unaware of the change and now found themselves no longer on the system, and as a result the decision has been taken to reopen registration between November 6 and 13.

Ticket prices for 2024 have risen by £20 to £355, following on from a rise of £55 on 2022 prices.

The 2024 performer lineup has yet to be released, although rumoured artists include Madonna, Spice Girls, Coldplay, Rihanna and Foo Fighters.
