Piers Morgan goes from three days to four on 'Good Morning Britain'

Piers Morgan reveals that he will also present Thursday's edition of Good Morning Britain "for the foreseeable future".

Piers Morgan has revealed that he has increased his role on Good Morning Britain from three days a week to four during the coronavirus outbreak.

The 55-year-old traditionally presents the breakfast show from Mondays to Wednesdays, with Ben Shephard taking over on Thursdays and Fridays.

Replying to a follower on Twitter, Morgan revealed that he will also present Thursday mornings "for the foreseeable future", starting with tomorrow's show.

Ratings for GMB have soared in recent weeks due to the coronavirus crisis, with a large proportion of the UK population now staying at home.

Morgan has been particularly vocal about the government's handling of the crisis as it has unfolded, and today was the subject of more than 600 complaints for a fiery interview with health minister Helen Whately.
