Former footballer Chelcee Grimes has reportedly been drafted in as a back-up contestant on this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
ITV has finally confirmed the names of the 10 famous faces entering the castle in this weekend's launch show, with the likes of Mo Farah, Beverley Callard and Shane Richie among those taking part.
West End star Ruthie Henshall and singer Russell Watson are expected to join that lineup several days in and according to The Sun, Grimes is now the first reserve should anyone have to pull out.
The 28-year-old played for Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Tranmere Rovers during her footballing career but has recently established herself as a singer-songwriter, penning tracks for the likes of Kylie Minogue and Dua Lipa.
"ITV have always been prepared in case of one, or more, dropouts so have had Chelcee and others ready to go," a source said. "She's been squirreled away in a cottage nearby just in case she's needed."
Former Strictly Come Dancing pro AJ Pritchard is in the launch lineup and despite testing positive for coronavirus last week, he is expected to get the all-clear to join filming this weekend.
