ITV2 to air Love Island USA from next month

ITV2 will air the brand new season of Love Island USA starting from next month.

ITV2 is to air the new season of Love Island USA from next month, we can reveal.

This summer's UK series was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic but the American version is still going ahead, albeit from inside the confines of a Las Vegas hotel.

Earlier this summer ITV2 reran the first season of Love Island Australia to much success, drawing around 800,000 viewers every night across its run.

Now the channel has picked up season two of the US version and will air it in a nightly 9pm slot starting from September.

The show begins on CBS in the US on August 24, meaning that the UK transmission will have a delay of between a week to a fortnight.

ITV2 also has the rights to the second season of Love Island Australia on the shelf for future transmission.
