A top Premier League manager makes a surprise appearance in the latest episode of Apple TV+'s Ted Lasso.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola made a surprise cameo in the latest episode of Apple TV+'s Ted Lasso.

In the penultimate episode of season three - and possibly the penultimate ever episode - Lasso's AFC Richmond took on and beat perennial Premier League title winners City.

After the game, Guardiola approached Lasso (Jason Sudeikis), telling him: "Good game, congratulations."

He added: "Don't worry about wins or losses. Just help these guys be the best version of themselves on and off the pitch. This, at the end, is the most important thing."

Guardiola was then seen interacting with Richmond striker Jamie Tartt (Phil Dunster), who had previously played for City in his younger days.

Previous cameos on the show have included Gary Lineker, Jeff Stelling and Thierry Henry.
