1883 and 1923 star Isabel May has joined the cast of the upcoming seventh Scream movie.
The long-running horror franchise's next instalment was confirmed last year, with Neve Campbell reprising her iconic role as Sidney Prescott after missing the sixth film due to a pay dispute.
According to Deadline, the seventh film will introduce one of Sidney's daughters to the franchise, with rising star May playing the part.
The franchise has previously indicated that Sidney has two daughters, born some time between 2013 and 2015, as well as a third child born in the last few years.
May is 24 in real life, suggesting that either more time has elapsed between films than in reality or that Sidney's backstory has been revised in some way.
Also back for Scream 7 are ever-present Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and Roger L Jackson as the voice of Ghostface.
Filming is due to begin next month ahead of a scheduled release on February 27, 2026.
