Dr Dre "doing great" after hospitalisation for brain aneurysm

Dr Dre says that he will be "back home soon" after being admitted to intensive care following a brain aneurysm.

Dr Dre has issued an update from his hospital bed as he receives treatment for a brain aneurysm.

The 55-year-old music mogul was admitted to intensive care at Cedars Sinai in Los Angeles on Monday following the health emergency.

As of last night Dre was said to be "lucid and stable", with doctors carrying out further tests, and now he has issued a message on Instagram to reassure fans that he is recovering well.

"Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes," he wrote. "I'm doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team.

"I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One Love!!"

Dre, who has an estimated worth of $800 million (£588 million), is currently in the middle of bitter divorce proceedings from wife Nicole.
