Adam Lambert has reportedly signed up to join Sheridan Smith as one of the judges on Starstruck, an upcoming reboot of Stars In Their Eyes for ITV.
The 38-year-old - a former runner-up on American Idol - has been touring with Queen for the last nine years in the Freddie Mercury role and according to The Sun, that experience made him a natural choice for the new show.
"Adam was delighted to be asked to join Starstruck and he snapped up the offer," he told the newspaper.
"As part of Queen his job is not to replace Freddie but to emulate his brilliance on stage, which he has done to huge success. And now he'll be helping wannabe singers to do the same with their idols."
The new series is expected to air on ITV next Autumn.
