Boris Johnson's penis 'cut from Spitting Image'

An outrageous scene featuring a naked Boris Johnson engaged in a penis fight with Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump is axed from the upcoming reboot of Spitting Image.

An outrageous scene featuring Prime Minister Boris Johnson, US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin wrestling naked has been dropped from the upcoming reboot of Spitting Image.

The satirical show, which sends up political figures and celebrities through the medium of puppets, was a huge hit for ITV in the 1980s and 1990s.

An updated version is due to launch on streaming service BritBox later this year, with a caricature version of Johnson expected to feature heavily.

The original show was known for pulling no punches and having a risque tone, but according to The Sun, a four-minute scene that involved Johnson, Trump and Putin fighting naked in a sauna with their penises was deemed to have crossed the line.

"We told them to take no prisoners with the trailer," a source told the newspaper. "And they certainly didn't. But some of the senior executives couldn't handle the fact they were fighting with their willies.

"They've given Boris and Trump tiny latex penises as well. They're really small, but Putin's is monstrous. Like a snake. It was eye-popping stuff."

Other famous faces due to be sent up in the show include Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Beyonce, Prince Andrew and James Corden.
