Ellen DeGeneres show offers staff new perks

Staff working on The Ellen DeGeneres Show are reportedly offered a host of perks after the recent controversy surrounding the show.

Staff working on The Ellen DeGeneres Show have reportedly been offered a host of new perks following the show's recent controversies.

Three executive producers were fired earlier this week following months of accusations of "toxic" behind-the-scenes working conditions and more serious allegations of sexual misconduct.

DeGeneres addressed staff directly in a video conference call earlier this week to assure them that the recent incidents would be a turning point for things to improve, and now they have been offered more tangible benefits.

According to Variety, every employee will be entitled to five days of paid leave to be used at their discretion, paid time off for health and family reasons, as well as their birthdays off.

The new season of the long-running show is due to begin on Monday, September 14.
