Robbie Williams records a new version of the party classic 'Come On Eileen'.

Robbie Williams has recorded a "new version" of the Dexys Midnight Runners hit 'Come On Eileen'.

The original song hit the top spot on both sides of the Atlantic in 1982 and has become a party classic thanks to its anthemic chorus.

According to The Sun, Williams's version borrows heavily from the original, with new verses linking into the familiar chorus.

One verse has the lyrics: "She takes her money and drinks it on a Saturday, her and her friends just p**sing the night away.

"Her mother says she's always been a disappointment, another night another casual arrangement...  We take off our clothes.

"But she's the best I've seen at singing Come On Eileen."

A release date for the new song has not yet been announced.
