Shawn Mendes recalls "shaking in stress" over banana request

Shawn Mendes reveals that his girlfriend Camila Cabello likes to order bananas at sushi restaurants.

Shawn Mendes has revealed that girlfriend Camila Cabello has a bizarre habit of requesting bananas when they go for sushi.

The 22-year-old, who has been dating his 'Senorita' duet partner for the last year, cited the banana request as an example of her "fearless" nature.

"Camila is fearless where she'll walk into like a sushi restaurant and be like, 'do you guys have bananas?'" he told Ash London Live.

"The first couple of times she did that, I was like shaking in stress and fear... And by the fifth time I was like, 'Yeah, I'd like a banana too.'

"That's what happens when you date a Latina."

Earlier this week Mendes released his first solo material in 18 months.
