Watch: Paul Mescal gobbles Irish sausage in first TV role

Watch Normal People star Paul Mescal's TV debut in an advert for an Irish sausage company.

Normal People star Paul Mescal's first TV role as the face of an Irish sausage firm has been uncovered.

The 24-year-old has enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame over the last month following the release of the teen drama, which has drawn almost universal praise and broken viewing records for BBC Three in the UK.

Mescal, who has admitted that he was not prepared for his new heartthrob status, had next to no TV experience prior to his role as Connell - but fans have uncovered his TV debut.

In 2018 the actor starred as a young man with a taste for adventure in an advert for the Irish sausage brand Denny, which has the slogan: "Seize the Denny!"
