Prince Charles, Camilla receive coronavirus vaccine

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall receive their first dose of the two-shot coronavirus vaccine.

Prince Charles and wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, have received their first doses of the coronavirus vaccine.

Clarence House confirmed that the first in line to the throne, who is 72, and his 73-year-old wife had been successfully vaccinated but did not disclose where the jabs had been administered, nor whether they had been vaccinated together.

The news comes a month after Charles's parents, The Queen and Prince Philip, received their own vaccinations at Windsor Castle.

The Prince of Wales was among the first people in the UK to contract coronavirus, having tested positive at the end of March, but only suffered from mild symptoms.

According to the latest government figures, more than 13 million people have now received at least one dose of the two-shot vaccine.
