Bill Bailey confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing

Comedian Bill Bailey is confirmed as the next celebrity taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.

Comedian Bill Bailey has been confirmed as the seventh celebrity taking part on Strictly Come Dancing.

The show's lineup is being unveiled thick and fast in the run-up to the return of the long-running show in October.

Bailey, 55, joins a group including fellow comedian Caroline Quentin, ex-NFL star Jason Bell, singer Max George, Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh, boxer Nicola Adams and Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo.

"In these are strange times we're living through, it feels right to do something different and take on a new challenge," said Bailey.

"So I am delighted to be a part of this year's unique Strictly Come Dancing. My late mum Madrin would have loved it - I hope she'll be watching."

The remaining celebs will be confirmed in the coming days.
