One Direction's Liam Payne and Destiny's Child's Kelly Rowland have been confirmed as coaches on Netflix's major new reality show Building The Band.
The experienced music duo join Nicole Scherzinger as mentors on the show, which will be hosted by AJ McLean and has been described by some as "The X Factor crossed with Love Is Blind".
The series will see the trio attempt to assemble new groups composed of singers who have not met face to face in advance, instead prioritising compatibility, connection and merit.
Executive producer Cat Lawson explained: "Building the Band is a brave and bold undertaking for all involved as we hand over power to the singers themselves to form their own band based on chemistry first.
"With looks out of the equation, can they create a deeper connection with their bandmates? With limited bands, there are difficult decisions and heart-stopping moments along the way, but ultimately the outcome is truly amazing, with bands forming who in my opinion are worthy of the very biggest stage!"
Filming on Building The Band begins this summer.
