Korean pop sensations BTS have missed out on the chance to claim their first UK number one single.
The seven-piece boyband made a strong start to the week's sales with their new single 'Dynamite' but ultimately finished in third place, which still represents their highest-charting position in the UK to date.
"We feel humbled and honoured to earn a new personal best on the UK Official Singles Chart," the group told OfficialCharts.com.
"First and foremost we give all credit to ARMY - without their love and support from day one, we wouldn't have come this far.
"'Dynamite' was created in the hopes of bringing some vibrant energy that the world needs right now more than ever. If it made one person happier, then that's more than enough for us."
Joel Corry and MNEK stay put in the top spot for a sixth consecutive week with 'Head & Heart' after another 62,000 chart sales, with Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's 'WAP' just 1,700 sales behind at two.
Headie One opens at four with 'Ain't It Different', a track from his upcoming debut that also features AJ Tracey and Stormzy.
As expected, The Killers open at number one on the albums chart with a massive 50,000 sales - including 42,000 CD sales - of sixth studio album Imploding The Mirage.
