Saturday's Major League Soccer predictions including Houston v Los Angeles FC

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Major League Soccer fixtures, including Houston v Los Angeles FC.

Columbus Crew vs. Seattle (Sunday, 12.30am)

Columbus Crew and Seattle Sounders lock horns in Major League Soccer for the first time since 2021, with the Crew in red-hot form and the Sounders looking to bounce back from recent defeats.

The Crew have won their last eight competitive matches across all competitions, while the Sounders have lost their last two.

We say: Columbus Crew 2-0 Seattle Sounders

Columbus Crew are currently on a strong run of form, demonstrating both defensive resilience and attacking prowess – their combination of solid defence and goal-scoring ability is likely to prove too much for Seattle Sounders, who have struggled to find the net in their last two matches while conceding goals.

New England vs. St Louis City (Sunday, 12.30am)

New England Revolution face off with St Louis City at Gillette Stadium on Saturday night keen to return to winning ways in front of their supporters in gameweek 30's MLS action.

A playoff spot is still attainable for the Revs who also have two outstanding games, but they must correct a wretched home form to give themselves a chance in the final stretch of the regular season.

We say: New England Revolution 2-2 St Louis City

Although one point separates both sides in the overall table, the Revs have a lot riding on this weekend's events than St Louis. Regardless, we expect the spoils to be shared in a high-scoring draw between these clubs who struggle for clean sheets.

NY Red Bulls vs. Kansas (Sunday, 12.30am)

Sporting Kansas City will travel to Red Bull Arena for the first time in over three years to face the New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer (MLS) action on Saturday.

New York held onto fourth place in the Eastern Conference last weekend despite losing 2-0 to the Philadelphia Union, while Kansas City moved up to 12th in the West thanks to a 3-0 win over Orlando City.

We say: New York Red Bulls 1-0 Sporting Kansas City

The Red Bulls have been a resilient group all year, which should serve them well against an SKC side featuring many players who appear to be well past their prime.

Houston vs. Los Angeles (Sunday, 1.30am)

With a win or draw on Sunday against Los Angeles FC, the Houston Dynamo will equal their longest MLS unbeaten run at Shell Energy Stadium from a season ago (six matches).

Orange Crush lost 3-2 to Real Salt Lake on Wednesday, their first loss since May, while LAFC moved into sole possession of first place in the Western Conference with a 2-1 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy.

We say: Houston Dynamo 1-2 Los Angeles FC

When you are on the kind of roll that LAFC are currently on, everything seems to go your way, and we believe their momentum will propel them to another narrow triumph.

Chicago Fire vs. DC United (Sunday, 1.30am)

Two sides separated by three points in the Eastern Conference standings go head to head on Sunday morning when Chicago Fire play host to DC United at Soldier Field.

While both sides sit outside the playoff places, a win here could hand them a fighting chance in the qualifying race heading into the business end of the regular season.

We say: Chicago Fire 2-2 DC United

Given the stakes of the game, we expect a thrilling contest at Soldier Field as both Chicago Fire and DC United aim to secure post-season football. While the Men in Red have struggled for results of late, they boast a solid home record against Lesesne's men and we predict they will do just enough to force a share of the spoils.

Vancouver vs. Dallas (Sunday, 3.30am)

Dallas can close the gap in the Western Conference playoff race as their Major League Soccer (MLS) campaign continues with a visit to BC Place Stadium on Saturday to battle the Vancouver Whitecaps.

A 1-0 win over Austin FC has the Caps sitting fifth in the West, while the Toros suffered a 3-2 defeat to the Colorado Rapids, putting them three points below the post-season line.

We say: Vancouver Whitecaps 1-2 Dallas

For some reason, the Caps do not look quite as confident on the ball at BC Place, and with so many key contributors away, it may be difficult to beat a Dallas side desperate to get above the playoff line.
