Giuseppe Iachini backs Inter Milan for title

Palermo manager Giuseppe Iachini says that Inter Milan have the players needed to win the Serie A title this season.

Palermo manager Giuseppe Iachini has backed Inter Milan to win the Serie A title this season.

The Nerazzurri are seen as one of the favourites to win the league and they underlined their championship credentials with a 7-0 win over Sassuolo last weekend.

Iachini's Palermo side will host Inter at the Stadio Renzo Barbera this evening and he believes that the Milan club have the players needed to win silverware.

"Inter have a lot of quality, great technique in all their players in all areas of the team," he told reporters.

"We need to occupy all the spaces and not allow Inter time to develop their attacking situations. They can win the Scudetto this season for two reasons: it's [Walter] Mazzarri's second year, so he has already been able to plant the seed of his mentality and ideas.

"On top of that, he also brought in new players who fit in with those tactical scenarios."

Palermo are yet to win a match since their return to the top flight this season.
