Ruben Amorim will reportedly take Manchester United training for the first time on Monday, with his visa expected to arrive over the weekend.

Ruben Amorim will reportedly take Manchester United training for the first time on Monday, with the club confident that his visa will have arrived in time for him to officially get on the grass next week.

The Portuguese officially became Man United's new head coach on Monday, and he has been at the club's Carrington training complex and their famous Old Trafford stadium this week getting used to his new surroundings.

Amorim has not yet taken charge of a training session, though, having not received his visa.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the visa is expected to have arrived in time for him to take a training session for the first time on Monday, while his full coaching staff should also be announced next week.

Man United are allegedly calm regarding the situation due to the November international break, with a number of the club's first-team players currently away with their countries.

Amorim 'set to take Man United training on Monday'

Amorim brought his time as Sporting Lisbon head coach to an end on Sunday evening, with the Green and Whites coming from behind to record a 4-2 win over Braga in Portugal's top flight.

The 39-year-old will be back in the dug-out on November 24, with Man United heading to Ipswich Town in the Premier League, but the team's preparations for that match will be difficult due to the international break.

Amorim has signed a contract at Old Trafford until June 2027, with the move becoming official on Monday, but he is not currently able to conduct training sessions despite travelling to Manchester to begin work.

There will not be a full training session until the players have returned from international duty, with Argentina's Alejandro Garnacho and Uruguay's Manuel Ugarte not due back until the end of next week.

Lisandro Martinez had also been in the Argentina squad, but the centre-back has withdrawn due to an issue related to his back and hip, and it remains to be seen whether he will be fit to face Ipswich.

Which players will train with Man United next week?

Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro, Mason Mount and Antony have all returned from recent injuries, while Kobbie Mainoo is also set to begin training with the Red Devils next week after overcoming a muscular problem.

Harry Maguire and Toby Collyer remain out through injury, but the club's injury problems are easing at the perfect time, and there will be senior players in training at the start of next week alongside a number of youngsters.

Marcus Rashford was not selected in the England squad once again, so he will be available immediately, while the same can also be said for Casemiro, who is not involved with Brazil.

Diogo Dalot, Bruno Fernandes, Garnacho, Eriksen, Rasmus Hojlund, Matthijs de Ligt, Joshua Zirkzee, Noussair Mazraoui, Victor Lindelof, Ugarte, Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir are the first-team players on international duty.
