Club Brugge 'leading the race to sign Facundo Pellistri on loan'

Club Brugge are reportedly at the head of the queue to sign Manchester United attacker Facundo Pellistri on loan.

Club Brugge are reportedly at the head of the queue to sign Manchester United attacker Facundo Pellistri on loan for the remainder of the 2020-21 campaign.

The 19-year-old is expected to leave Old Trafford on loan before the end of the month, with a number of clubs said to be interested in his services.

According to Goal, Alaves have shown an interest, but Club Brugge are leading the race for the teenager, who moved to United from Penarol last October.

Pellistri is yet to make his first-team debut for the Red Devils but has been involved on eight occasions for the club's Under-23s and Under-21s, scoring three times.

The attacker, who has recently been unavailable for selection due to coronavirus, also made the bench on two occasions in the group stages of the Champions League.

The youngster scored twice and registered four assists in 37 appearances for Penarol before moving to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side last year.
