Tottenham Hotspur 'in advanced talks for defender Juan Foyth'

Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan have been beaten to the signature of Estudiantes defender Juan Foyth, who is reportedly close to joining Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly close to completing their second signing of the summer window after entering advanced talks with Estudiantes defender Juan Foyth.

Lilywhites boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to add another few players to his squad over the next 12 days, having agreed a deal to land Davinson Sanchez from Ajax on Friday.

Spurs are believed to have initially opened talks with Foyth last month, only for Paris Saint-Germain to complicate matters by joining the race for his signature.

According to The Guardian, however, Tottenham recently stepped up their interest and are about to beat both PSG and Inter Milan to the centre-back's signature.

It is reported that Pochettino will hand over around £9m to capture the Argentina Under-20s international, with a move to be finalised in the coming days.
