Baltimore Ravens' Eric DeCosta: 'Joe Flacco will improve receiving corps'

Baltimore Ravens assistant general manager Eric DeCosta is adamant that quarterback Joe Flacco will bring out the best in his inexperienced wide receivers next season.

Baltimore Ravens assistant general manager Eric DeCosta believes that quarterback Joe Flacco can develop his wide receivers into a quality outfit next season.

The Ravens lost Torrey Smith during free agency to the San Francisco 49ers, leaving them with Steve Smith as the only notable name among their wideouts.

"You can look at any team in the league that has good receivers, and you'll see a quarterback who is pretty darn good," DeCosta told the club's official website.

"You'd be hard pressed to find a really, really good receiver that doesn't have a good quarterback. In saying that, we have tremendous confidence in Joe Flacco and his ability to develop receivers."

Flacco threw for 3,986 yards along with 27 touchdowns to 12 interceptions in the 2014 season.
