Veteran linebacker Ray Lewis has insisted that his Baltimore Ravens side are highly motivated to win the Super Bowl after clinching their place with victory over the New England Patriots today.
The Ravens trailed 13-7 at half-time in the NFC Championship game but scored 21 unanswered points to stun the Patriots and keep their season alive.
Lewis will retire at the end of the season but believes that the spirit in the Ravens squad will ensure that he finishes his distinguished career in style.
He told reporters: "Words, man, if you only knew. We are built a certain way and we've got each others' backs.
"We've got something to finish. Our team is awesome, this is our time. Every man out there has sacrificed for each other and we deserve this."
Baltimore will play the San Francisco 49ers at the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Sunday, February 3 after they edged the Atlanta Falcons to win the AFC Championship yesterday.
