Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman has revealed that Marquess Wilson will have the chance to compete for the third wide receiver's spot in his side's offense for next season.
The Bears released Earl Bennett leaving a void behind Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery in the wideout position for the club going into the 2014 campaign.
"I think he showed that we can work with him and develop him. He's got the football intelligence that we're looking for and the ability to be flexible within the offense," Trestman told the Chicago Tribune.
"He was consistent. So we'll see how it goes. We're not anointing people at this point in time. He's going to have a chance to compete and be a part of what we do after Alshon and Brandon."
Wilson was selected by the Bears in the seventh round of the 2013 Draft.
