DJ Williams out for season with ruptured pectoral tendon

Chicago Bears linebacker DJ Williams will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his pectoral tendon.

The Chicago Bears have confirmed that DJ Williams will miss the rest of the 2013 NFL season after rupturing his pectoral tendon earlier this week.

The linebacker sustained the injury during the third quarter of the team's 27-21 win over the New York Giants on Thursday.

The 31-year-old had already missed the entire pre-season with a calf injury, but recorded 35 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble in his four starts during the regular season.

Rookie Jon Bostic is expected to replace Williams.
