Quarterback Brian Hoyer has admitted that the dysfunction at the Cleveland Browns could affect any decision he makes to re-sign with the club.
The 29-year-old will be a free agent when the league year ends in March after spending the last two seasons at the Browns.
However, Hoyer has admitted that the departures of former offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan and quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains may play a part in his decision over whether to commit his future to the team.
"I think what happened at the end of the season speaks for itself with Kyle and Dowell," Hoyer told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "I mean, you don't just leave a job to leave. So to say that I was unaware I think I'd be lying to you, but to the extent, I had no idea. I'm just as interested as all of you to see what happens.
"It obviously will, I think. I'm going to make the best decision possible. To read the stories and see what's going on, I'm just as interested as you guys are to see where that comes out, especially because when you read it, it has to deal with the quarterback situation and play calling.
"That's something that could affect how I feel about it. For me, I'm looking forward to see what comes out of that."
Hoyer threw for 3,326 yards along with 12 touchdowns to 13 interceptions for the Browns last season.
