Dallas Cowboys quarterback Brandon Weeden has admitted that he has to seize his opportunity to prove his worth in the NFL.
The 31-year-old has been thrust into the starting signal-caller's position at the club after Tony Romo was ruled out until week 11 with a fractured clavicle.
Weeden struggled immensely during his time as the starter with the Cleveland Browns, but he has insisted that he is ready to prove his doubters wrong in his second chance.
"I've got to go out and play well. If I do that, everything will take care of itself," Weeden told reporters. "It's my job to go out and execute and take advantage of this opportunity."
Weeden has thrown for 5,492 yards and 27 touchdowns to 28 interceptions in his four seasons in the NFL.
