Dallas Cowboys unsure on starting running back to replace DeMarco Murray

Dallas Cowboys running backs coach Gary Brown admits that the club have not decided which one of their players will replace DeMarco Murray as their starter next season.

Dallas Cowboys running backs coach Gary Brown has revealed that the club have not made a decision over who will replace DeMarco Murray as their lead back.

Murray led the NFL in rushing yards in the 2014 season, but left the NFC East side in the off-season to sign for their rivals the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cowboys signed Darren McFadden in an attempt to bolster their backfield as he joined Joseph Randle in the mix to fill Murray's void for the 2015 campaign.

Brown told reporters: "We've got some very good football players. With the addition of Darren it's going to be a nice group.

"I can't say who is going to be the lead dog right now, but those guys are going to compete and we're going to do what's necessary to win games."

The Cowboys open their 2015 campaign against the New York Giants on September 13.
