Jason Hatcher: 'I'm having a great season'

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Jason Hatcher believes that he is having his best season in his eight-year career.

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Jason Hatcher believes that he is having a great season following his change of position.

The 31-year-old moved from defensive tackle to end following the release of Jay Ratliff and has notched nine sacks, the most in his eight-year career.

"I'm not a nose tackle," Hatcher told ESPN. "I probably would've been asking to be traded or something because I don't like to play the nose.

"I'm not going to say I'm glad [Ratliff] is gone because I wish we had him because he's a hell of a football player, but God works in mysterious ways and I'm at the position.

"I'm making plays and having a helluva year, so I've got to keep it up."

The Cowboys are 7-5 in their season after week 13.
