Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware has admitted that the team's bye week came at a good time for him and his injury.
Ware recovered from a quadriceps strain just before the team's week off, which he said has allowed a more complete recovery than if the games had continued.
"I'm glad I had this time off," Ware told the Cowboys' official website. "I was doing a lot of the moves I usually don't do. I was doing them in practice, feel really confident in it and got all my strength back, so I'm really happy about that.
"It sets up really well because we've got a lot of guys back. It felt like we had two bye weeks, to be honest with you. You had a good 10 days off, getting ready for a late Monday night game, and longer time to prepare."
The Cowboys take on the Chicago Bears on Tuesday morning.
