Denver Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey has revealed that he is enjoying playing inside as it has given him a better position from which to get involved in games.
Bailey, whose Broncos side take on the San Diego Chargers in the divisional playoffs on Sunday, said that having a greater involvement should allow him to make more of a mark through the post-season.
"I'm more involved," he told the Broncos' official website. "I think I'm more in the mix - I'm definitely mixing it up in the run and the pass. There are a lot of benefits to being in there.
"Being outside, you're always searching for the call, you're trying to make sure you're getting lined up right. There are a lot of challenges to being outside, but being inside I kind of get a feel for everything before it happens."
Bailey is in his 15th season in the NFL, having been drafted by the Washington Redskins in 1999.
