Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib has been suspended for one match by the NFL for poking the eye of Indianapolis Colts tight end Dwayne Allen.
The incident occurred in the fourth quarter of the Broncos' defeat at Lucas Oil Stadium when Allen first got involved in an argument with Von Miller, but Talib then came over and jabbed his finger in the eye of the tight end.
The NFL reviewed the incident and handed the cornerback a one-match suspension that will rule him out of his side's next match against the Kansas City Chiefs. However, Talib has launched an appeal against his punishment.
The 29-year-old has recorded 20 tackles and three interceptions this season.
