Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has been fined $100,000 (£63,600) by the NFL for a low hit on Minnesota Vikings centre John Sullivan.
The incident occurred in the Lions' win over the Vikings on Sunday when linebacker DeAndre Levy intercepted a pass from Christian Ponder, and Suh went low on Sullivan to clear a path for his teammate to score a touchdown.
Suh was penalised on the pitch with a 15-yard penalty and the score from Levy was chalked off, but now NFL vice president of football operations Merton Hanks has deemed the foul to be worthy of the hefty fine in addition.
This is the second time Suh has been fined in his career. The first came in the 2012 season when he kicked Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub and was docked $30,000 (£19,000).
