The Green Bay Packers have promoted quarterback Scott Tolzien to their active roster, according to a report.
The 26-year-old has been added to his side's 53-man roster from their practice squad in light of an injury to starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Mike McCarthy's team's defeat to the Chicago Bears, reports NFL Network.
Rodgers revealed that he was unsure how long his fractured collarbone would sideline him for, leaving Tolzien and backup Seneca Wallace to battle it out to replace him in the short term.
The Packers are 5-3 in their season after week nine.
