Arian Foster has been ruled out of the Houston Texans' game against the Arizona Cardinals with a back injury.
The running back has not practised this week because of the problem, having missed most of last week's game with a hamstring injury.
Interim head coach Wade Phillips has indicated that the 27-year-old will seek advice from a specialist before deciding how to treat the injury.
Ben Tate, who still has four broken ribs, will start in Foster's place tomorrow.
