Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak has admitted that the club were "lucky" that quarterback Matt Schaub avoided a serious injury on Sunday.
The 32-year-old was forced to leave the Texans' game with leg injury after taking a hit during his side's defeat to the St Louis Rams at Reliant Stadium.
"Obviously he's very sore, and beat up," Kubiak told the team's official website. "The leg, ankle, everywhere. So we'll have to see where he's at. We probably got a little bit lucky there.
"We're trying to evaluate his health right now. I thought he played better yesterday. He moved the football, moved the team. I thought he was doing things much better yesterday."
Houston are 2-4 in their season following their defeat to the Rams.
