Report: Houston Texans' Antonio Smith to face two-game ban

Reports claim that Houston Texans defensive end Antonio Smith will be handed a two-match ban for using a helmet as a weapon against Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito.

Houston Texans defensive end Antonio Smith will be handed a two-match ban for using a helmet as a weapon, according to reports.

The ban relates to an incident during Saturday's pre-season match against the Miami Dolphins when Smith reacted to his face mask being grabbed by Dolphins' guard Richie Icognito by ripping off Icognito's helmet and swinging it at the lineman.

The ban is expected to be announced later today and will include pre-season matches.

After Saturday's game, Smith refused to talk about the incident, claiming that he could not remember what had happened.

"Next question. I kind of took a blow to the head. I can't remember," he told reporters.

Smith and Incognito have history with each other after the former was fined $21,000 - eventually reduced to $11,000 - for kicking the Dolphins player last season.
