Hakeem Nicks eyes Indianapolis Colts deal

Soon-to-be free agent Hakeem Nicks is eyeing a move to Indianapolis Colts over the off-season.

Free agent wide receiver Hakeem Nicks has admitted that he would love to play for a franchise such as the Indianapolis Colts, who have a strong quarterback and are in need of a player in his position.

Nicks's club New York Giants recently claimed that the player would be happy to agree a one-year contract, but he has now said that the deal that he is after will be a long-term one.

"I know if I went to a place like Indianapolis I would be dangerous with a quarterback like Andrew Luck," NFL.com quotes Nicks as saying.

"I can see myself catching passes from Cam Newton or even Philip Rivers. I just want to make it clear that I want a long-term deal and I want to be happy."

Nicks averaged 16 yards per catch from 56 receptions last season.
